...Lost Thoughts

Despite the title, this is not a post about the fabulous Lost finale.

In fact, I wrote out a long post regarding three finales (24, Alias and Lost) and I accidentaly lost it. It is too much to write again, so those thoughts and opinions are lost to the ages. Maybe those thoughts will come up again in the near future.

Since it has been so long since I have posted, I will leave you with a link to a wonderful Cubicle song. I offer this truthful ode in celebration of being freed from cubeland with my new job.

Enjoy!

...The Scariest Fish Ever

This fish may look nice, colorful and, perhaps, innocent. However, visit PGP's blog and it will pop up at you at the most inopportune moments.

I also think it ate some comments on her blog once. Am I crazy? Maybe, but this fish bugs me. I just have this feeling about it.

It is a showdown of Good vs. Evil...

...Spoiler Tags

For the love of all things holy, DO NOT read the next post if you have not watched May 3rd's episode of "Lost"!

There is a MONSTER at the end of that post. DO NOT go there...

...No Drinking & Driving

Let this be a lesson to all of you: If you drink and drive (and get caught), you will be killed off on your hit TV show!

This means you Libby & Ana Lucia...

The surprise was not that Lost got rid of its two problem children, it was who did it. I know "The Others" have leverage on Michael, but were my eyes deceiving me when I saw he turn the gun on himself! WTF!

(Future Spoilers Start Here)

Actually, there is a chance that Libby may not be gone, but I couldn't resist making that picture. Who knows what she was holding beneath those blankets and her in-the-nuthouse-with-Hurley storyline is too good to give up on. In fact, in an interview with the show creators, they freely talked about AL being dead (and being planned that way all along)but no concrete statements on Libby's fate.

Also, it appears that the May 17th eppy will be Michael flashbacks. So, did he just shoot himself in the arm? I really thought it was the chest. By the way, I have edited this post a million times as I run across information.

...May DVDs

May 2nd:
Tennessee Williams Collection: Despite the fact that Hollywood had to water down most of TW’s more mature themes, there are tow absolute classics that anchor this set, “A Street Car Named Desire” and “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.” I am looking forward to revisiting these and the other 4 movies in this box set!

Also (Possibly) Rent-Worthy…
The Family Stone

Hoodwinked

May 9th:
Munich: And the award for “Biggest Let Down Of A Critical Darling” goes to this Spielberg mess. A wonderful film for those with insomnia

Scrubs, Season 3: I love me some Scrubs. However, I am a bad fan since all I do is wait for the DVD s to come out to watch it. C’mon, it’s easier than trying to figure out when it is actually on anymore.

More TV Fun…
The Fact Of Life, Seasons 1 & 2

The West Wing, Season 6

May 16th:
The Producers: Although it is extremely flawed, I still enjoyed this movie-of-the-musical-of-the-movie. Warning: Try to only view this one with a good group of friends whose laughter will fill up the awkward pauses in the dialogue.

Rent At Your Own Risk…
When A Stranger Calls

May 23rd:
Transamerica: Don’t let the transgender thing throw you; This is actually a cutesy family/road trip movie. To those who hoped for something darker, don’t let the cutesy family/road trip movie aspect throw you; a little movie saccharine is good once in a while.

High School Musical: This Tween phenom makes a sudden move from cable TV to DVD, so the Mouse can make as much money as possible!

May 30th:
Date Movie: As someone who actually enjoys “Not Another Teen Movie”, I may have to check it out. On the other hand, it could be a good week to catch up some other releases.

...May Music

April Showers bring May…well…more showers here today. But, I do have as list of some hot (and not-so-hot) new releases!

May 2nd:
JewelGoodbye Alice In Wonderland: Kilch takes steps off of the dancefloor and climbs back on to the ‘ole barstool for a return to form. I find that Jewel’s songs usually grow on me over time and I hope the same goes for this.

Glen PhillipsMr. Lemons: My favorite Toad is back. I haven’t had a chance to preview this one yet, but I hope it is a little more charged up than the last one.

Also of Note…
Pearl JamPearl Jam

Tool10,000 Days

May 9th:
Gnarls BarkleySt. Elsewhere: This teaming of producer, Danger Mouse, (Gorillaz, Beatles Mashups) and rap/R&B artist, Cee-lo (other project titles too long to list) has already created a deserving hit single. I am here to confirm that the rest of the album may not completely live up to that song, but it is an inspired effort. However, I do look forward to their next album, “Hill Street Blues.”

Red Hot Chili PeppersStadium Arcadium: Kudos to RHCP for waiting this long to indulge themselves in the requisite double album. I hear disc one is full of radio-friendly jams while disc two is a bit more adventuresome.

Also of Note…
Neil YoungLiving With War

Paul SimonSurprise

May 16th:
The RaconteursBroken Boy Soldiers: Jack White grabs a couple of friends and some amps and creates a side band. I am not so sure I should be excited about that or not.

May 23rd:
Dixie ChicksTaking The Long Way: Here is my most anticipated album of the year! The Chicks from Dix went ballsy with the first single, but, really, you couldn’t just pretend nothing had happened. Word on the streets is that country radio is (mostly) happy to embrace this album and are waiting for the follow-up single to start showing the love again.

Michael BoltonBolton Swings Sinatra: Isn’t this just too easy? Okay, just a short dumb one…someone please go turn Sinatra back over in his grave.

Also of Note…
The Ditty BopsMoon Over The Freeway

Johnny CashPersonal File

May 30th:
Peeping TomPeeping Tom: Mike Patton, of the “epic” Faith No More, has returned even though I did not realize he was away. However, I would like to share his contact list as he has brought Norah Jones, Massive Attack, and Bebel Gilberto with him!
