...May DVDs
May 2nd:
Tennessee Williams Collection: Despite the fact that Hollywood had to water down most of TW’s more mature themes, there are tow absolute classics that anchor this set, “A Street Car Named Desire” and “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.” I am looking forward to revisiting these and the other 4 movies in this box set!
Also (Possibly) Rent-Worthy…
The Family Stone
Hoodwinked
May 9th:
Munich: And the award for “Biggest Let Down Of A Critical Darling” goes to this Spielberg mess. A wonderful film for those with insomnia
Scrubs, Season 3: I love me some Scrubs. However, I am a bad fan since all I do is wait for the DVD s to come out to watch it. C’mon, it’s easier than trying to figure out when it is actually on anymore.
More TV Fun…
The Fact Of Life, Seasons 1 & 2
The West Wing, Season 6
May 16th:
The Producers: Although it is extremely flawed, I still enjoyed this movie-of-the-musical-of-the-movie. Warning: Try to only view this one with a good group of friends whose laughter will fill up the awkward pauses in the dialogue.
Rent At Your Own Risk…
When A Stranger Calls
May 23rd:
Transamerica: Don’t let the transgender thing throw you; This is actually a cutesy family/road trip movie. To those who hoped for something darker, don’t let the cutesy family/road trip movie aspect throw you; a little movie saccharine is good once in a while.
High School Musical: This Tween phenom makes a sudden move from cable TV to DVD, so the Mouse can make as much money as possible!
May 30th:
Date Movie: As someone who actually enjoys “Not Another Teen Movie”, I may have to check it out. On the other hand, it could be a good week to catch up some other releases.
