...The Beginning of the End

I am so glad Alias is back! I may have forgot exactly where it left off since it was gone so long (thanks a lot Violet !), but I got right back into the excitement.

There are some reasons to be glad about the cancellation of the show. All those reasons are the slew of returning cast members and guest stars!

*******SPOILERS********

It was no terrible surprise that Vaughn has returned. However, rumor has it that it was planned all along and was not simple stunt to end the series with or a reply to fan’s reactions over his death. In fact, Vaughn was originally supposed to be held captive by Irina but the actors’ schedules did not coincide (ah, how art and commerce mix.) It will be interesting to find out if Sydney knew about Vaughn all along. Some fans have posted some interesting observations regarding this and past episodes that may indicate a set up for that scenario. It would help me believe that Vaughn survived that 4,815,162,342 bullets if Syd and Jack were in on it. Maybe it ties in to the whole “My name is not Michael Vaughn” thing. Maybe the real Vaughn never died?!

In addition to Vaughn, we can expect Will to return (as soon as next week I think – I did not see previews) along with Sark and Evil Francie. Hopefully the return of these characters will fill in the wasted time that is the newest additions to the APO staff. In fact this whole Thomas grace/The Cardinal/Witness protection crap better lead us back to our main story – Rimbaldi.

I shall wait (im)patiently as this all unfolds…
